101 IN 1001

Thanks to the lovely and inspiring, Mackenzie Horan (blogger and owner of Design Darling,) I have decided to start my own 101 in 1001 list!  This new adventure is basically a short(er) term bucket list that is to be completed in 2.75 years. (Check out Mackenzie's if you're interested, she's already on her second one!) I am super excited to start, and I can't wait to share this list and all my adventures - big or small - with you all! :)

  1. Start playing the piano again.
  2. Keep on track with clean eating for (at least) a month.
  3. Make a legitimate exercise regime and stick to it.
  4. Update my resume.
  5. Start, tend to, and utilize a vegetable/fruit garden.
  6. Run a 5K.
  7. Vacation in Europe.
  8. Do more volunteer work.
  9. Meditate everyday for 10 minutes, for 2 weeks straight.
  10. Start (and actually finish) the couch-to-5K program.
  11. Pick up my clarinet again and get to the skill level I was once at.
  12. Climb Mt. Katahdin in Maine.
  13. Watch a meteor shower.
  14. (Full) family vacation to the Outer Banks like old times.
  15. Cross off as many lighthouses as possible on my "Atlantic Lighthouse list."
  16. No purchases from my local bakery for 2 weeks.
  17. No Starbuck's for a month.
  18. Buy Starbuck's/Dunkin Donuts/Tim Horton's for a random stranger.
  19. No clothes, shoes, or accessories purchases for one WHOLE month. (That'll be tough.) June/July 2014
  20. Buy a DSLR camera.
  21. Make at least 10 care packages for soldiers overseas.
  22. Buy a new Subaru.
  23. Go to a midnight showing at a movie theatre.
  24. Read at least 7 new books. (I'm not much of a reader.)
  25. Pay for a random stranger's dinner at a restaurant.
  26. FINALLY buy my dog.
  27. Embrace, wholeheartedly, turning 23 years old. (Ekk!!)
  28. Buy a fishing license and go fishing more with my dad.
  29. Visit Pittsburgh, PA.
  30. Go to Shelter Island, NY, and see where my grandfather was raised.
  31. Connect with distant relatives.
  32. Brush up on my U.S. history. (Good thing I kept my APUSH text!)
  33. Write weekly letters/cards to my friend who is moving out of the country in the fall.
  34. Work on a second college degree.
  35. Come up with some sort of a financial/spending plan/budget.
  36. No takeout for lunch at work for at least a week.
  37. Learn how to change a flat tire.
  38. Go to a horse race.
  39. Visit a new state.
  40. Go to Nova Scotia.
  41. Go to an NFL game.
  42. Go to a Pittsburgh Penguins game.
  43. Do something out of my comfort zone.
  44. Pay off (at least) half of my student loan.
  45. Learn to play ice hockey.
  46. Buy a stand up paddleboard.
  47. Eat gluten free for two weeks straight. (January 2015)
  48. Bake and send out Christmas cookies to friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family.
  49. Go sledding in the winter.
  50. Go to an amusement park.
  51. Learn how to bake macarons.
  52. Go to the drive-in movies.
  53. Get a membership at the Y.
  54. Quit my summer job after the summer of 2014.
  55. Go one full day with no internet, cell phone, computer, television, etc.
  56. Start attending church regularly.
  57. Go to bed at 10:00 PM for 1 week.
  58. Wake up early to watch the sunrise.
  59. Compete in a mud or color run.
  60. Donate to Toys for Tots during the holidays.
  61. Frame my vacation and lighthouse photos.
  62. Drink more water, daily.
  63. Go on another boat tour. (July 2014)
  64. Put $5.00 away for every goal I accomplish.
  65. Start playing volleyball again.
  66. Learn how to use Photoshop.
  67. No caffeine for a week.
  68. Get an internship.
  69. Get up early and go to the cafĂ© every Sunday for one month straight for work purposes only.
  70. Reconnect with an old friend.
  71. Stick with both my nightly and morning "beauty routines" for 3 weeks straight.
  72. Open an Etsy shop.
  73. No eating meat (except seafood) for 2 weeks.
  74. Go see a professional musical.
  75. Keep a notebook of a different thing I am thankful for every single day of the challenge.
  76. Connect with bloggers/make new blogging friends.
  77. Send out Christmas cards.
  78. Cook/bake 10 recipes from Pinterest.
  79. Watch 3 movies with Audrey Hepburn that I haven't yet seen.
  80. Watch the, full, first 5 seasons of SNL.
  81. Climb 3 lighthouses.
  82. Have a picnic.
  83. Try 3 new foods.
  84. Go to a few polo matches each summer.
  85. Build a snowman.
  86. Send at least 5 emails to people who have inspired me.
  87. Donate time and/or money to a worthy cause.
  88. Go apple picking in the Fall.
  89. Actually stick with my meal plans for 2 weeks straight.
  90. Develop a consistent blog posting schedule that works.
  91. Leave a 100% tip while dining out.
  92. Go see a professional ballet.
  93. Build a sandcastle.
  94. See a stand-up comedian.
  95. Buy my blog domain.
  96. Read every night for 3 weeks.
  97. Take a road trip.
  98. See a concert.
  99. Try something new and weird at the State Fair. (August/September 2014)
  100. Pay every person I encounter for a day a compliment.
  101. Make a second 101 in 1001 days list!!!
